Self-care is no longer the thing that is just for ladies. Embracing self-care is essential for your overall health and wellness. When it comes to self-care, it’s not just something you work into your daily schedule—it’s the mindset of putting yourself first in order to be your best self. Here are some ideas to get you started. If you have an idea, schedule it in, and make it your priority to get it done.
1. Incorporating Essential Oils
Essential oils are oils extracted from various plants, commonly used for aromatherapy which is awesome for self-care. Aroma Heat Yoga uses essential oils (and overall the power of smell) to enhance your well-being, and balance your mind, body, and spirit. Most commonly, this done through smell or application of the oils to the skin. Different oils have different uses, and benefits. For example, rosemary and jojoba oil are great for thinning hair and is great for healthy hair growth!
2. Grooming
Investing in yourself won’t just make you feel better, either—liking how you look can actually help better performance, according to one Northwestern University study. Furthermore, Grooming is the time of the day where you pay attention to your needs. If your routine is still a disposable razor & washing your face with a bar of soap, it’s time to upgrade your routine.
3. Doing Yoga, Barre and/or Pilates
The body tends to tense up after a long day at work. Release the tension built up with some after work Yoga, Barre and/or Pilates class. Infrared Heat Yoga is great after a long day. Infrared light is unlike ultraviolet light and has an opposite effect of UV. Infrared rays heat you from the inside, warm your body with deep penetrating heat and not just the surrounding air. Jal Infrared Heat Yoga is practised indoor with indoor infrared heaters. The heat panels do not emit UV rays like the sun, instead, they provide the same comfortable, sun-like warmth. Unlike Hot Yoga, every Infrared Heat Yoga session makes you feel clean and invigorated. It will help to increase flexibility and circulation, help to detox as well as relief pains.
4. Treating Yourself Right
It is alright to treat yourself once in a while, as long as you don’t go overboard. Spending on a nice holiday getaway is a good way to treat yourself. What’s better than taking a break and making wonderful memories with your family and friends on a Yoga retreat!
